Tommy Vext Became Homeless To Tour With Bad Wolves This Year

Bad Wolves are perhaps best known for their smash hit cover of The Cranberries' Zombie, which became the first Platinum rock song of 2018. Their debut album, Disobey, even made its way to #23 on the Billboard 200 chart shortly after its release in May of this year. But despite the Los Angeles-based band's meteoric success, few people realize what its members had to give up to pursue the dream.

As The PRP originally reported, vocalist Tommy Vext revealed via an Instagram post earlier this week that he became homeless in order to tour with the band from March through December. "I had to give up my apartment, get rid of my car and put all of my belongings in storage," the singer explains.

It's not the first time he's been without a permanent address, either -- Vext would go on to express gratitude "for the times of my life when I was forced to be homeless because the lessons I would learn only prepared me for life out of a suitcase."

Vext is no stranger to hardships. Earlier this year in an exclusive interview with Kerrang!, he recounted the time his twin brother tried to kill him while he was high during a home invasion in 2010. Before that, he had gotten sober, and faced his own share of childhood traumas, too -- but Vext has risen above all to front multiple successful rock bands, including Snot, Divine Heresy, and even filled in as stand-in vocalist for Five Finger Death Punch. We're pretty confident that he'll come out on top once again -- especially in a band as engaging and powerful as Bad Wolves.
