Six years on from 2019’s Atonement, Killswitch Engage will be releasing This Consequence in February: “It’s the exact record we needed to make…”

This weekend Killswitch Engage performed at Welcome To Rockville festival in Florida, and they weren't alone onstage. To the left of the band a sign language interpreter was going hard, giving a kickass performance of Killswitch's lyrics.
And it didn't go unnoticed, frontman Jesse Leach posted a video of the interpreter on Instagram, signing along to KSE track Strength Of Mind.
"This moves me, seeing my lyrics especially these particular lyrics signed," wrote Jesse in the post. "I am honored and at the moment overwhelmed. I hope this message reaches as many people as it can. Those who suffer from a mental illness, those who know all to well the extremes of the mind, the helplessness and the empowerment that can accompany all of it.
"It’s chaos, it’s beautiful it’s gut wrenching. AGAIN honored to see this! SHE IS KILLING IT!!! Thank you to this woman for helping spread the message of the music."
Last month, Killswitch revealed that their as-yet-untitled eighth album will be released this autumn.
Elsewhere at Welcome To Rockville this weekend, Tool performed two new songs during their headline set.
