Last night, BABYMETAL kicked off the UK leg of their METAL GALAXY WORLD TOUR in Glasgow, Scotland, with support from Southampton goth-punks Creeper.
The Japanese kawaii metallers performed a 13-song set (including METAL GALAXY intro Future Metal) at The Barrowlands on what is actually the band's first full UK headline tour – having only previously been there before for one-off shows and festival appearances.
Speaking to Kerrang! last year about the tour, MOAMETAL enthused: “Extending both my arms as far as I can would not be enough to illustrate the size of my excitement. I can’t wait to see our fans again. Every time we have the chance to visit new places, see new people and to have new experiences, we get so excited. I also look forward to trying out new food. Just thinking about it all makes me so happy.”
SU-METAL also added that BABYMETAL's highlight of 2019 was performing at the O2 Academy Brixton, revealing: “We played there before, but I felt that the audience was closer this time, and I felt such great energy there. I enjoyed every single moment of it. I felt that I was home. It was great to be back.” Fingers crossed their 2020 highlight will be this UK tour, then…
