Slayer to headline Louder Than Life 2025 after this year’s weather cancellation
With Hurricane Helene disrupting Slayer’s planned appearance at 2024’s Louder Than Life, the thrash legends have revealed they’ll be back to play next year…
This guy went above and beyond the call of duty and still missed the band. Let's help fix that.
All the metal sites including us garnered some extra clicks from the plight of one particularly enthusiastic metal fan last month. Chris Larocque did his upmost to get back into a venue in Canada that Slayer were performing at last month by swimming into the venue (he'd been chucked out of the show for an as yet unknown reason). Sadly he never made it past security and got carted off in an ambulance.
We feel bad that we got all that extra site traffic and Chris still missed the best band in the world on their farewell tour, so we're keen to promote this Change.org petition to get him to a Slayer show. While we're not sure what the signatures will achieve or who they're being sent to (surely a Gofundme for some flights and tickets would be a more effective way to get him into a show?), we're happy that someone has noticed that a great injustice has been done and made the effort to set things right. From the Change.org page:
Chris paid to see the farewell tour of his favourite bands just to be thrown out and make headlines for his brave attempt to see his hero's perform live.
Though he has been acknowledged in all sorts of media outlets around the world. He still has remained denied opportunity to watch them perform live.
Help get this man into seeing Slayer and Anthrax!
Go sign it right now, folks!
