It's coming up to two years now since Limp Bizkit's Wes Borland shared some new riffs from the nu-metal titans' upcoming (?!) album, but in a new interview with the guitar titan, it doesn't sound as though fans will get to hear completed music from the band anytime soon.
Speaking on the Let There Be Talk podcast (via ThePRP), Wes seems unsure about the future of Bizkit's recorded output, with the planned follow-up to 2011's Gold Cobra album sort of still in the ether… but also sort of not. Basically, it sounds like it's pretty low down on everyone's priorities at the moment.
"Where I am right now is – play a few Limp Bizkit shows every year, there’s a record that has been in the works for a long time and not at a place where I don’t think it’s going to get finished anytime soon," Wes ponders. "Maybe it will, but I’m not sure. It’s been a bunch of songs that have been floating around for four years now, and little by little, stuff gets added to it. But I think that we’re all into such different stuff that making a Limp Bizkit record is kind of difficult."
