Watch: twenty one pilots perform Vessel songs for first time in years on opening night of Takeøver Tour

Kicking off their awesome Takeøver Tour in Denver last night (September 21), twenty one pilots surprised fans at the intimate Bluebird Theater with a throwback setlist featuring many older Vessel and Blurryface gems.

The tour, which will see Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun building up from clubs to arenas in multiples cities, is clearly going to be an excuse for the band to mix up their setlists as they go, with the likes of Ode To Sleep, Guns For Hands, Migraine, Semi-Automatic (all from Vessel) and Polarize and Goner (from Blurryface) performed live last night for the first time in years.

Of course, there was many of the usual bangers too including Chlorine, Jumpsuit, Heavydirtysoul, Car Radio and customary closer Trees (though without their explosive confetti 'due to venue limitations'). And with so many songs in their discography still to choose from, it'll be worth keeping your eyes peeled to see how these shows continue to develop…
