After old-school thrashers Sacred Reich crushed the small back room of our favorite Brooklyn dive bar The Gutter, there was a need for something a little different. There's a beauty to classic thrash, but the K! Pit is about sweat, kinetic impact, and a blur of excited screams. Few contemporary bands embody that mission quite like Kentucky hardcore crew Knocked Loose. So when we asked them to come and play the tiny, humid back room at the Gutter, they politely obliged...and hell followed with them.

After the band took the stage, frontman Bryan Garris leapt into the air -- and by the time he landed, the room had become a whirlpool of flying limbs and grinning faces. The turnout for the show was the most impressive in K! Pit history, meaning that even with a pit opened in the middle of the floor, the room was crowded with flying diehards. Those not spin-kicking and throwing bows were rushing the front of the stage to scream along with Bryan on songs like Oblivions Peak and Deadringer. But perhaps our favorite moment came when the vocalist, in the midst of frenzied anthem All My Friends, shoved the mic to his face and bellowed, "KERRANG!"

Want to watch the carnage unfold? Tomorrow, August 8th, tune in to our Facebook page at 7:30pm BST (2:30pm EST/11:30am PST), for an exclusive livestream of Knocked Loose's performance at the Brooklyn K! Pit.
