Chelmsford rock gang Tigress have confirmed details of their debut album, and shared a brand-new single.
The band's upcoming debut LP Pura Vida follows a trio of EPs – 2015's Human, 2017's Like It Is and 2018's Who Cares – and is due out on September 3 via Humble Angel Records.
"The album is about confronting everything you don’t like about yourself, turning it into something you love, and leading a pure life from there," explains vocalist Katy Jackson explains, adding that a holiday to Costa Rica inspired the title and a fresh new mindset.
"That trip changed me," she says. "It made me realise how I was so self-absorbed. It made me think I wanted to live a purer life."

Of brand-new single Disconnect – which seems to tie in with the record's themes as a whole – Katy reveals: "When the instrumental for Disconnect landed in my inbox, I immediately started writing about how unplugged I felt from reality, I had experienced life at its fullest and most connected and then dumped back into such a lonely and isolated existence."
