Who are Slipknot’s fans?
We head down to Slipknot’s Here Comes The Pain tour in Manchester to meet the Maggots that had their lives changed forever by nine masked men from the cornfields…
Record Store Day Black Friday is only six weeks away. These are the essential rock and metal releases coming out on November 29.
Now that it’s early October, it means companies will start pushing things for that Christmas pretty soon. Because capitalism rules everything. Just before that, however, is the ultimate tribute to consumerism – Black Friday.
And while hordes of people might go apeshit trying to rush into John Lewis, Urban Outfitters, Tesco and other chain stores to fight over products that should be sold at those heavily reduced prices anyway, music lovers will have to contend with another facet of Black Friday madness – Record Store Day.
Yes, that day when a bunch of limited edition vinyl pressings are released into the world only to wind up on eBay minutes after they’ve been purchased is upon us once more. IF THAT IS YOU, THEN STOP IT.
That all said and done, and despite the fact that Record Store Day has ultimately become a cynical symptom of late stage capitalism, there are some noteworthy rock and metal releases coming out on November 29, aka Record Store Day Black Friday.
