The Rasmus will play breakthrough album Dead Letters in full on their UK and European tour
Finnish goth-rockers The Rasmus will be playing their Dead Letters album in its entirety on their upcoming European tour.
The band's fifth album was a landmark release for the band, going on to sell over two million copies, and giving us In The Shadows (yes, you know the one).
The tour was announced on The Ramsus' Facebook page, saying: "The album Dead Letters was a milestone for The Rasmus. They had already released four albums in Finland before the age of 21, and had reached platinum album sales and played sold out arenas in their home country. But their fifth full-length outing, Dead Letters, including the world wide smash hit In The Shadows, propelled The Rasmus to fame and stardom all over the world."
“Dead Letters is the most important album in the history of The Rasmus," says vocalist Lauri Ylönen. "At the time of the release in 2003 we had already existed almost ten years and were on the threshold of adulthood as a band. With self-confidence and curiosity, the fear of the future defined our new style and identity for good. We want to celebrate the 15th anniversary of this album by diving back into that dark world and playing it live from start to finish.
"We are super excited about this. The album is very theatrical and has strong imagery. We want to bring that visual world to the live performances. Some of the songs will have their first live premier in the fall of 2019!"
The European tour starts at the end of September and includes five UK dates in October. Tickets go on sale February 1.
