Who are Slipknot’s fans?
We head down to Slipknot’s Here Comes The Pain tour in Manchester to meet the Maggots that had their lives changed forever by nine masked men from the cornfields…
Slipknot's new masks are coming soon according to Corey and Roadrunner
It looks like the wait is almost over: Slipknot will be unveiling their new masks soon! Well, that's what their record label Roadrunner Records say anyway.
Following a cryptic Instagram post from frontman Corey Taylor, Roadrunner tweeted "New @slipknot masks incoming..." along with the same ghostly white image, which we presume is a distorted version of Corey's new mask... or E.T. lost a fight with some PVA glue the middle of some thick fog. Basically there's a creepy looking eye, and that's more than enough to get us excited because it's been almost five years since the last mask change for .5: The Gray Chapter.
Earlier this year Corey posted an image of his new mask being made with iconic horror movie special effects artist Tom Savini. Whatever the vocalist is planning, we just know it's going to be gruesome, and probably a huge departure from his two-parter for the last record. Could this white image see a return to the sinister paleness of the All Hope Is Gone era?
We won't know until we know, but it's fun to try and double-guess what the most creative band in metal will do next. Mainly because we'll never figure it out.
