Limp Bizkit are in the studio recording new music
Limp Bizkit have revealed that John Otto has been tracking drums in the studio this week… but what’s it all for?!
After a week of surprising the internet with an interesting new look, Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit dropped Dad Vibes – plus this new aesthetic – at this weekend's Lollapalooza.
Back in June, guitarist Wes Borland explained how perfectionist Fred Durst was struggling to land on the right vocals for various Limp Bizkit instrumentals on the band's much talked about Stampede Of The Disco Elephants album. But progress has seemingly accelerated rather a lot since then, as the Jacksonville rap-rock legends shared new song Dad Vibes at this weekend's Lollapalooza.
After a week of entertaining Instagram with a new grey hair and handlebar moustache look, Fred well and truly embraced his Dad Vibes by sporting the get-up onstage as the band's appropriately-named new tune played over the PA, and Bizkit gave out some free T-shirts to the Chicago crowd. It's not clear yet whether this look is just a temporary thing, or if we're going to have an entire album dedicated to this surprising new aesthetic. Either way, we're here for it.

During the set, Fred reportedly also championed coronavirus vaccines, telling the audience: "It’s amazing that this can happen. Are you so happy to be out of the fucking house?
"How many people are vaccinated?" he then asked, before responding. "That’s very cool, very considerate, very thoughtful of you." Aww.
