Green Day side-project The Coverups announce 2025 London show
Surprise! Billie Joe Armstrong will be back in London next month for another special show with his side-project The Coverups.
Rock am Ring and Rock im Park have announced Green Day, System Of A Down and Volbeat as headliners for next year's festivals.
Twin German festivals Rock am Ring and Rock im Park have announced their headliners for next year's events, with Green Day, System Of A Down and Volbeat topping the bill.
All three bands were scheduled to appear at 2020's cancelled edition of the festivals, but organisers have since been able to confirm their collective return for 2021.
"After the anniversary editions of Rock am Ring and Rock im Park had to be cancelled this year, the organizers were now able to confirm the headliners from 2020 for the 2021 edition of the twin festivals," announce the festivals. "From June 11, 2021, System Of A Down, Green Day and Volbeat, three of the most successful modern rock bands will come exclusively at the Nürburgring and Nuremberg."

Rock am Ring and Rock im Park have also announced an extension for their ticket exchange phase until June 30, adding: "Due to high demand, the period for the ticket exchange for Rock am Ring and Rock im Park will be extended once until 30.06.2020 Furthermore, fans of Rock im Park will have the opportunity to have their daily tickets transferred to 2021 from Friday, 12.06.2020."
While Green Day had already confirmed their return to Europe in June on the Hella Mega Tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer, this is obviously extremely promising that System Of A Down and Volbeat will also be participating in the Euro festival circuit, too. Does this mean that both might also be appearing at next summer's Download Festival, given they were on the scrapped 2020 line-up? Stay tuned…
