Slipknot's Corey Taylor is releasing brand-new solo material this Wednesday
Corey Taylor is releasing the first taste of his upcoming solo album this Wednesday (July 29).
The announcement was made on Corey's Twitter over the weekend with a message that simply read: "Are You Ready? New Music July 29 #CMFT" accompanied by the letters CMFT in lights.
The image itself is similar to what we saw earlier this month in a behind-the-scenes clip from Corey's latest video shoot, the name of which was redacted.

Speaking previously to Knotfest, the Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman explained that his upcoming solo record will explore a variety of genres and takes influence from such wide-ranging artists as Alice In Chains, Slade and Johnny Cash.
"The way I've been looking at it is it's like a futuristic throwback," he said. "Everything on this album is a hybrid of all these different genres that I'm really into. It's a modern take on vibes that people have heard before, and yet I've taken them and kind of thrown them through this crazy filter to see what we get. Everybody who hears it is just blown away, so I'm really, really stoked."
But this isn't an album that's come together overnight, as Corey revealed to Sirius XM, he's been working on these songs for over a year, and he actually wrote one of the songs in high school!
“It’s a long, long, long time coming, and really maybe it was one of those things where it took years of working and honing my craft to have, I guess, the confidence to be able to complete that song. So, yeah, this is a long, long time of waiting and piecing it together, and it feels awesome.”
Stay tuned to Kerrang! for the latest on Corey's upcoming solo album.
