Chester Bennington's First Band Enlist His Son To Re-Record Classic Songs

Some people might not remember that late Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington started his storied musical career in the Phoenix, Arizona-based post-grunge band Grey Daze. The band showcased Chester's developing vocal style, as well as the rarely-seen image of the singer with a full head of long hair.

Now, Grey Daze have announced via social media that they'll be rerecording their old material with help from Chester's friends and family.

Most notable among the guest stars is Jamie Bennington, Chester's son, who added his vocal stylings to one of his dad's classic tracks.

Brian "Head" Welch and James "Munky" Shaffer also leant their talents to some of the band's material:

Other guests to appear on the album include P.O.D.'s Marcos Curiel and Chris Traynor of Bush, as well as Ryan Shuck, Chester's bandmate in Dead By Sunrise.

Details have yet to be released as to what these recordings will be used for, but keep your eye on Grey Daze's Facebook for now.
