Mark Hoppus has shared the absolutely wonderful news that he is now "cancer free".

The blink-182 bass legend – who first found a sore lump in his shoulder back in April, and publicly announced his battle with cancer in June – took to social media on September 29 to reveal that he is feeling "so blessed" following an appointment with his doctor.

"Just saw my oncologist and I'm cancer free!!" Mark wrote. "Thank you God and universe and friends and family and everyone who sent support and kindness and love."

He continues: "Still have to get scanned every six months and it'll take me until the end of the year to get back to normal but today is an amazing day and I feel so blessed. Can I get a W in the chat?"

Mark's blink bandmate Travis Barker reposted the news in his Instagram stories, writing: "Love you @markhoppus, best news brother!" Meanwhile the bassist's Simple Creatures partner Alex Gaskarth posted on Twitter: "The best news for the best dude. YESSSS"

Good Charlotte's Benji Madden responded by writing: "Overjoyed by this so happy to know Man really made my day to hear this thank you for sharing bless you bro," and You Me At Six vocalist Josh Franceschi replied: "Wonderful news for you & your family. Congratulations."

Everyone at Kerrang! also sends our love and congratulations to you, Mark!
