Live review: Beartooth, London Alexandra Palace
Ohio’s finest metalcore exports Beartooth step up to the plate at their biggest UK headline show to date.
Staying in to stop the spread of coronavirus just got a whole lot more metal, courtesy of Beartooth's new merch bundles.
Following in the footsteps of Avenged Sevenfold, who been giving fans free merch as an incentive to self-quarantine, Ohio mob Beartooth have unveiled a new 'stay at home' bundle.
The metal crew are donating all proceeds from this kit to the brilliant MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund – an initiative to help keep afloat those who have lost out on work and income due to tour cancellations.
"We’re doing our part in staying home and so should you!" Beartooth say. "We’re also thrilled to be releasing a limited run of Stay At Home Merch Bundles where we’ll be donating the proceeds to the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund. Seriously, STAY HOME!"

Included in the Beartooth bundles is a 'mystery' hoodie, a fleece blanket, a deck of cards, a bottle opener and a tote bag. Unfortunately, all kits have already sold out (nice work, everyone!), so fingers crossed the band can get some more out there, and the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund will receive even more donations.
Pro-tip: If you managed to get your hands on one of these epic kits, wrap up in your new Beartooth fleece blanket while watching the band destroy The K! Pit in London… back when we could all go to gigs.
Last year, we asked Kerrang! readers to quiz Caleb Shomo about whatever they wanted, with one question in particular now standing out during these strange and unprecedented times: what does the frontman think about when he's by himself?
“The human mind, that’s a complex fuckin’ organism,” he laughed. “There’s a lot going on in there. I think about a lot of shit. Mostly just, ‘What am I gonna eat today?’ I’m not really sitting around doing the ‘chicken or the egg?’ deal, I’m more, ‘Where’s the next meal?’”
So there you have it. Right now, while staying at home and quarantining, Caleb is probably thinking about food – just like the rest of us.
