Along with the big deluxe reissue, The Get Up Kids have announced their live plans to celebrate 25 years of Something To Write Home About.

The band will be heading over to Europe and the UK next year for an extensive headline run, kicking off at An Club in Athens, Greece on May 22, and wrapping up at London’s Electric Balloom on June 11.

“When we set out to write what would become the album Something To Write Home About, I never imagined all the places it would take us,” vocalist/guitarist Jim Suptic recently reflected. “From touring around the world, being on MTV’s 120 Minutes, to opening for childhood heroes…”

In a statement about the tour, the band collectively share: “The time has come! We are finally able to announce that we are bringing the Something To Write Home About 25th anniversary tour to the UK and Europe next year. We cannot wait to celebrate across the pond with you!

“The response to our Latin America and North American shows has been truly amazing… we are feeling the love right now and are looking forward to playing the entire record in EU/UK. See you next year!”
