The Gaslight Anthem have digitally re-released History Books with a new mix

The Gaslight Anthem have just unveiled an all-new digital edition of last year’s comeback album History Books.

The band have entirely remixed their 2023 sixth record, as well as including a new guest spot (now Bully joins them on Little Fires) and adding their recent History Books – Short Stories EP on the end of the whole thing, too.

“We decided to remix History Books in its entirety, the Expanded Edition is out now,” TGA say in a statement.

“When we first mixed it, we were blown away by how incredible it sounded on the vinyl test presses. That original mix still holds up beautifully on vinyl, and we wouldn’t dream of changing it. However, when the album came out digitally, it didn’t quite hit the mark we were aiming for. So, we decided to remix it specifically for digital release.”

There’s no new vinyl editions featuring this particular mix, but they add that there’s now a version of Short Stories in translucent sea blue if you wanna pick that up!
