Listen to Sylosis’ surprise new EP, The Path
Reading metallers Sylosis have unveiled what Josh Middleton promises is “some of our best material to date” on their new EP, including title-track The Path featuring Heriot’s Debbie Gough.
“We’re confident that we’ve created something special with our new record…” says Josh Middleton of the brand-new Sylosis album.
It’s been a busy few days for Josh Middleton: following his amicable departure from Architects, the musician has now unveiled details of Sylosis’ next album.
The LP is entitled A Sign Of Things To Come and is due out on September 8 via Nuclear Blast. Josh calls it “a homecoming”, and excitingly teases: “We’re confident that we’ve created something special with our new record and we can’t wait for you to hear the new music over coming months ahead of the release in September.”
Detailing how things have been taken to the next level this time around, Josh reveals that he produced the album alongside Scott Atkins.
“This is the first time I’ve allowed myself to be produced; taking on some brutal criticism and pushing myself to deliver the best vocal performance of my career,” he says. “I’m a big fan of progressive and long albums, but I was ruthless on myself during the whole process. I think that shows in the final result on the record!”
To mark the announcement, Sylosis have released a new video for Poison For The Lost – watch that below:
