Spotify are reportedly developing a "more vocal" and "less vocal" function within the app.
There's nothing better than singing along to your favourite songs at top volume (often very badly), and Spotify have seemingly recognised this: they are reportedly building a new karaoke feature within the app.
Music Business Worldwide have announced that, with Twitch Sings coincidentally closing later this year, Spotify are now gearing up to launch their very own Spotify Karaoke Mode.

The news was revealed by reverse engineer Jane Manchun Wong on September 7, who tweeted that there is going to be a "more vocal" and "less vocal" function when songs are playing, announcing the new developments alongside screenshots of what it'll actually look like within the app.
As well as being able to sing above the vocals should you want to do so, it looks as though lyrics from the song that's playing will also appear on your screen within the karaoke mode, so you can drown out your favourite lyricist – but crucially still absolutely nail everything they're saying.
Spotify have not yet confirmed these plans or a potential launch date, so stay tuned (and get practicing…).
