Slipknot reveal summer 2025 European tour
Slipknot will be taking over Europe’s rock and metal fests next June, as well as playing some headline dates of their own.
Slipknot's We Are Not Your Kind-era masks are now available to buy.
With Halloween right around the corner (and the requirement to wear facemasks amid the COVID-19 pandemic not going anywhere, either), Slipknot have just launched an official range of We Are Not Your Kind masks.
Following the accidental unveiling of Tortilla Man's identity with their neck gaiter range a couple of months back, this time the band have called his merch 'New Guy' to be on the safe side, while elsewhere you can also – obviously – choose to imitate Corey Taylor, Clown, Jim Root, Mick Thomson, Sid Wilson, Craig Jones, Jay Weinberg or V-Man in their We Are Not Your Kind era.

The majority of the masks are priced at $35, while Corey's is $40, and Craig's signature spikes (which are described as 'removable straws') mark his up to $55. It also states that they're 'not guaranteed to arrive by Halloween', but tbh, we don't really need a special occasion to dress up at the Iowa titans, so…
Of course, Corey's mask came under some scrutiny when it was first unveiled via the Unsainted video last year. The frontman acknowledged that it “bothered so many people”, adding, “That’s exactly why I’l never change it.”
Speaking to Kerrang! about the inspiration behind it, he explained, “My vision was about trying to create something uncomfortable – not only for me to wear, but for people to look at. I wanted it to feel like it was something that was created in someone’s basement – something that was made specifically to fuck with people. It’s the representation of public opinion turning on a dime – they want to tear people down for the way they live, even if they don’t really know them. It’s been liberating to embrace that side and be like, ‘Fuck you. I really don’t give a shit what you think about me, so here’s this!’”
