St. Vincent brings All Born Screaming singles Flea and Big Time Nothing to The Tonight Show stage…
St. Vincent made an excellent appearance on a recent episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Annie Clark and her band hit New York’s Rockefeller Center to unleash two tracks from this year’s All Born Screaming album: second single Flea, and third single Big Time Nothing – both of which arrived ahead of the record’s full release on April 26.
And while she clearly has a lot of fun playing these two as you can see below, Kerrang! recently asked St. Vincent about her absolute favourite song to play live – to which she said Pay Your Way In Pain, from 2021’s Daddy’s Home LP.
“It’s really fun and has gotten even more unhinged,” she explained. “There’s this line that my sick sense of humour finds so funny: ‘I went to the park just to watch the little children,’ is so creepy but it makes me laugh every time. And then screaming ‘I wanna be loved’ is true and also so ugly. But the idea of going to the park like, ‘I’m just gonna watch!’ is so creepy to me that it makes me laugh. [The song has] gotten increasingly unhinged. That current of energy and madness and excitement I can tap into quite easily.”
