It's only been a month and a bit since this year's ArcTanGent, and already the first wave of announcements has us looking longingly toward next summer at Bristol's Fernhill Farm.

As an opening throw, it's a humdinger. In an exclusive one-off UK gig for 2025, Karnivool will headline Friday night, while Melvins and reunited U.S. prog-stoners Kylesa will both be doing UK festival exclusive shows.

Rolo Tomassi will be making a welcome return to celebrate their 20th anniversary, while Between The Buried And Me are down to perform two sets, including a run-through of their landmark Colours album, and The Fall Of Troy will be doing Doppleganger in full.

Also in this first announcement are (deep breath): DVNE, We Lost The Sea, Adebisi Shank, Alpha Male Tea Party, GosT, Sugar Horse, Inter Arma, Kayo Dot, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Heave Blood & Die, Vessels, As Living Arrows, Burner, Boneflower, Chalk Hands, Drongo, Giant Walker, Maud the Moth, meth, Ni, Papangu and Tayne.

Says festival bigwig James Scarlett: "We go again! We’ve already got some huge reunions in the form of Kylesa, Adebisi Shank and Vessels, plus some legendary albums in full from The Fall Of Troy, We Lost The Sea and Between The Buried And Me. We’re also delighted to welcome Melvins and our Friday headliners, Karnivool, to their first ever ATG.

"We’re starting as we mean to go on – ArcTanGent 2025 is going to be ridiculous!"

"When it came to deciding how to best celebrate our 20th anniversary there was only one thing we had in mind," add Rolo Tomassi. "We're delighted to be returning to ArcTanGent and look forward to putting together a special show for this incredibly special festival."

ArcTanGent takes place August 13 – 16, 2025
