You’ve seen the Kerrang! albums of 2024. Now check out what the staff were all listening to this year…
Watch the video for Poppy's infectious single So Mean – the third new track from her upcoming album Flux.
Current Kerrang! cover star Poppy has just shared another ace new single, So Mean.
The song follows Her and Flux – all three of which are taken from her upcoming fourth album (which is also called Flux, and is due out on September 24 via Sumerian Records). There's an equally great accompanying video for this one, too, which – as well as being directed by Poppy – is described as a 'tantalising teaser for her long-awaited run of tour dates in 2022'.

Speaking to Kerrang! about what Flux is about as a whole, Poppy revealed, "In my experience, records take on a life of their own that you have to follow through because [the record] will tell you what it wants to become. There have been times when I set out to do something and it’s ended up being very far from what I originally intended, but it’s teaching me something.
"I’d say the theme that [Flux] communicates to me is something along the lines of not being afraid of the unknown."
