The rise of You Me At Six, as told through their most important gigs
From scrappy early shows to taking over Warped Tour, Wembley and more, You Me At Six’s Josh Franceschi talks us through 10 of the band’s most stand-out gigs.
Paramore’s This Is Why and You Me At Six’s Truth Decay are sitting at Number One and Two respectively in the midweeks – which is the first time in a long while two rock bands have been at the top in the UK.
The UK Official Albums Chart have unveiled how things are currently going in the midweeks, and there’s an exciting battle for the top spot between Paramore and You Me At Six.
The band’s albums – This Is Why and Truth Decay – sit at Number One and Two in the charts, with Paramore reportedly massively outselling everyone so far, and very much on course to get their first Number One since 2013’s self-titled album.
Speaking to Metro about releasing their albums on the same day, You Me At Six frontman Josh Franceschi said: “It should be an emo national holiday!
“Just enjoy it, though, I think it’s good for the soul, to have guitar bands doing well, and this is two bands that we’ve toured with.”
Elsewhere, Pierce The Veil’s excellent The Jaws Of Life is also in the Top 20, while In Flames’ killer 14th album Foregone is looking like it’ll be their first-ever Top 40 entry.
Congrats, everyone!
