EP review: VOWER – apricity
Ex-Palm Reader and Black Peaks members come together as VOWER and astound on debut EP…
Surrey's finest are staggering the release of three songs via us today.
Palm Reader's new album Braille will be out this Friday April 6th via UK independent label Silent Cult Records.
To celebrate the release, over the course of today they're sharing three songs they recorded in special session for us.
First up is The Turn, which sounds like this:
"We started writing this the week we got back from the Norma Jean tour," say Sam Rondeau-Smith, who plays guitar in the band. "It’s one of the ‘groovier’ tunes on the record and is a heap of fun to play."
*UPDATE*
Next up is Swarm.
"What with it being the first single it naturally made sense that we’d pick it for the live session," says Sam. "It’s hands down one of my favourite songs to play live, despite what my face might say in this video, haha!"
*UPDATE 2*
And finally, here's Like A Wave.
"We knew we weren’t going to be releasing this as a single so this seemed like the perfect chance to air it. We’d had this song floating around in various forms way before the album was recorded so it feels great to be able to finally play it for people!"
