Fans of hair metal forefathers Mötley Crüe have been waiting for ages to see a film adaptation of The Dirt, Neil Strauss' bestselling tell-all book about the band's history, legacy, and infamous exploits. Last year, fans got their first good news in a while, when rapper Machine Gun Kelly was cast as famous Crüe drummer Tommy Lee. Now, they'll be excited to see that the band has posted a first teaser trailer on their Facebook, in preparation for the full trailer being dropped tomorrow.
The teaser for the movie, which is set to be released by Netflix this year, gives viewers snapshots of scenes from across Mötley Crüe's career, including Tommy Lee's wedding to Pamela Anderson, the band's gigantic pyro-filled performances at their peak, and Vince Neil's tragic car crash that caused Hanoi Rocks drummer Razzle Dingley his life. It also definitely takes notes from Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, as evidenced in the attention paid to the late-'70s clothing and hair displayed by the band throughout (hopefully, in the final film, we'll get to see the Crüe in full teased poofs and studded leather).
