My Chem have sold out their 2025 Black Parade stadium tour, with 365,000 tickets snapped up
My Chemical Romance’s epic stadium run next year – which will take the band across North America for 11 huge dates – has sold out within hours…
My Chemical Romance will join Jimmy Eat World, Deftones, and more in Australia this March.
It's looking to be one hell of a year for the guys in My Chemical Romance. Last week, the band took the rock world by storm by announcing that they would reunite for one show in Los Angeles this December. Now, the emo-punk legends have revealed that this won't be the only show they'll be playing in the near future -- they're also slated to headline Download Australia in March, in what is being touted as their only Australian show planned, and have announced a New Zealand show with Jimmy Eat World to boot.
The band themselves tweeted the festival flyer with the following message:
Not only that, but the band has announced a show in New Zealand alongside Jimmy Eat World:
Obviously, the whole line-up of Download Australia looks pretty fantastic -- who doesn't love Deftones, Jimmy Eat World, Clutch and Testament? -- but My Chem's appearance is the clincher.

More importantly, My Chemical Romance announcing a second show hints at something most fans are dreaming of right now: a full-on reunion tour. As we've seen with several bands who have recently reunited, a one-off or smattering of reunion shows usually indicates that more and more live appearances are soon to come. Whether or not MCR will follow through with a U.S. or UK tour remains to be seen, but we can only hope.
That said, the band themselves might not be aware of just how big a deal their return to the live arena is. Shortly after announcing their reunion show, My Chem went on Instagram and posted a picture with the caption, "It is truly unbelievable to us the happiness we have experienced over the past two days. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the warm welcome back. We truly did not expect this. See you soon. Xoxo, MCR.”
This, of course, came along with a massive outpouring of respect, praise, and excitement over the reunion from across the entire rock world. So it's safe to say no one is alone with hoping this'll turn into a full-fledged tour.
Meanwhile, Download Australia goes down on March 20 and 21 at the Melbourne Showgrounds. Information can be found on the festival's website.
