Måneskin's Damiano David releases solo single, Born With A Broken Heart

Måneskin frontman Damiano David has released new single Born With A Broken Heart.

The follow-up to last month's standalone track Silverline, Damiano says he wrote the new track when he was “getting out of a very dark place, I was feeling emotionless and I was afraid that I had lost my ability to feel things, either good or bad.”

He continues, “This was happening while I was starting the most meaningful relationship of my life and the fear of not being capable or ready was big. I think the song was a way to make myself make sense of what I was feeling and look at it from a less scary prospective. I’m happy to say that today I don't feel like this but I think a lot of people can relate with the feeling of not being good enough.”

The track comes with a new video, directed by Aerin Moreno, which Damiano describes as being his “personal fantasy.”

”A world where no matter what, once you step through the door, everything becomes magical and beautiful," he adds. “It’s a way to say that not everything negative is gonna hurt you, but sometimes is actually gonna take you to the next chapter of your life. We all have the ability to transform negative experiences into something meaningful for us.”
