Album review: Cult Of The Lamb – Hymns Of The Unholy
An all-star line-up turn the smash indie game’s futuristic soundtrack into sublime metal bangers.
Watch the video for Malevolence’s new standalone single Trenches, which Alex Taylor describes as a reminder “that we still haven’t lost sight of where we came from”.
After announcing it earlier this week, Malevolence have just unleashed their brilliantly crushing new single Trenches.
Produced by GRAMMY winner Josh Wilbur, the standalone track is described by frontman Alex Taylor as “possibly the most aggressive, ignorant and direct song we have ever written”.
“Over the last few years, we’ve been playing more in the commercial metal circuit at festivals and arenas, so we wanted to take this opportunity to remind people that we still haven’t lost sight of where we came from,” the vocalist explains.
“The lyrics are a declaration of not needing validation or approval, and a rejection of those who never supported the journey but only show their face when you achieve some level of success.”
