Machine Head unleash new single with In Flames, Lacuna Coil and Unearth
Machine Head team up with 2025 tourmates In Flames, Lacuna Coil and Unearth for new single These Scars Won’t Define Us…
"Let freedom ring with a shotgun bl...nnngh!"
As Machine Head's current Freaks And Zeroes tour winds to a close, the band got more than they bargained for when they played San Diego's House Of Blues on November 21.
During the track Davidian, from their 1994 album Burn My Eyes, a couple were spotted having sex in the front row and ejected from the venue.
"San Diego! Holy... freakin... shit!" the band wrote in a Facebook post. "When a guy and gal get ejected for having sex during Davidian (in the front row no less!?) you know it's gonna complete insanity! No joke! Wow, what a welcome back you gave us, we are blown away! Epic circle pits, the jumping was crazy, boobies, sing-a-longs, crowd-surfing-mania, couples having sex?"
It was the band's first show in San Diego since 2008, after Robb Flynn "fired" the city for not being rowdy enough during their performances. Now it seems they're very much on speaking terms after their show this week.
"After an 11-year break from each other, you are officially 'un-fired'! Hands down the best show we have ever played in your amazing city, and one of the wildest and rowdiest of the entire tour! Thank you all so much for an unforgettable night of raging!"
This tour will mark the end of the current Machine Head line-up. After the band's show at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz on November 24, guitarist Phil Demmel and Dave McClain will leave the band to pursue other projects.
