Huntington Beach rapper Yung Pinch has posted a cover of blink-182's 2003 single I Miss You.
The 21-year-old – whose real name is Blake Sandoval, in case you're at a rap-themed pub quiz in the future – reveals that he grew up listening to alt-rock before discovering rap. I Miss You is his favourite Blink song.
"I was born in 1997, so I had to catch up on a lot of the old-school rap as a kid," he tells XXL Mag. "But I grew up in the car—my family [would be] listening to some different stuff, like, you know, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blink-182, Weezer, different stuff like that. I feel like that also influenced me to have another aspect in my music as well. I definitely started bumping everything on the radio like everyone else did as a kid. Then everything changed. Everything always changes. I've always just been a big fan of music."
