Mad Cool reveal first names for 2025 including Weezer, Thirty Seconds To Mars and St. Vincent
Weezer and Thirty Seconds To Mars join the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Iggy Pop and Noah Kahan atop next year’s Mad Cool Festival bill.
Put together with a ‘female, non-binary, and queer’ team, PVRIS have released a “self-produced collaborative music project between friends and past tourmates”.
PVRIS have just unveiled a new five-song mixtape entitled F.I.L.T.H.
The record was put together ‘by all female, non-binary, and queer personnel, including engineers, producers, and featured artists’, according to a press release, with Lyndsey Gunnulfsen enthusing that her aim was to make a “fun project full of some bad bitches in music”.
The singer shares: “F.I.L.T.H. is a self-produced collaborative music project between friends and past tourmates. I wanted to make a small project where some other female/non-binary artists could hop into the world of PVRIS and vice-versa, have as much control over the lyrics and music as they wanted and simply just have fun making some music together!
“Everyone had free rein to write what they wanted and add their own voice – figuratively and literally – to each track. All songs were created, mixed, mastered by women/non-binary friends and all were written and produced at home in my apartment and then completed on the road while on tour. Wish there was more time to make even more… hoping to more projects like this in the future!”
