Album review: DoFlame – BENT
Hip-hop-hardcore genius Mateo Naranjo stomps straight out of Brampton on determined second album, BENT.
Blue Grape have announced the signing of 21-year-old Mateo Naranjo – aka DoFlame – and there’s a new single out now…
DoFlame has just unleashed a huge new single.
The 21-year-old Toronto solo artist – real name Mateo Naranjo – has released the explosive Can’t Stand No One to mark the announcement of his signing to Blue Grape (home to the likes of Code Orange and GEL).
And it all very much marks the start of an exciting new chapter for DoFlame, who released his debut album, DoStroy, in 2022. Around the same time he also created the OFFLEASH collective, explaining: “I just wanted to make some kind of central hub for everyone to join in and identify with. I wanted kids to see that you can do cool things, you can make cool things, you don’t just have to sit around or party. I want to document this scene we have and show the world through our eyes what’s happening with our friends and our city.”
Get ready to see things grow even more following Can’t Stand No One…
Catch DoFlame at the following live dates later this year:
October
16 Paris MAMA Backstage
18 Rotterdam Left of the Dial festival
21 Brussels Botanique
23 London The Lower Third
