Cassyette is already writing new music
After breaking into the Top 40 with her debut album last month, Cassyette is already making new music, but is also careful not to overthink it…
As a self-described “chronic over-thinker in love”, Cassyette has unveiled a new single about the “convoluted clusterf*ck of thoughts and feelings I find myself going over and over”.
Cassyette has shared another brilliant new single from her upcoming debut album.
Ahead of the release of This World Fucking Sucks on August 23, the artist has shared the catchy and relatable Over It, which she says “came to me the day after I wrote my song Mayhem – it was like a part two of the song. I actually left it for a while and came back to it a year later, unable to let the song go, I realised I wasn’t able to let the feelings go either.
“It feels very much like it’s had a few different life cycles,” Cassyette continues. “When I finally allowed myself to be honest with my feelings, Over It was born. The song is about the times I have found myself repeating the same patterns of limerence over and over again after failing relationships. It’s about the convoluted clusterfuck of thoughts and feelings I find myself going over and over as a chronic over-thinker in love.”
