Heartbreaking news for people of a certain age...
JNCO Jeans, the unofficially official clothing brand of nu metal, is calling it a day after 33 years in business. The alarmingly wide legged jeans were synonymous with late 90s rock shows, but for some reason - one imagines it had something to do with how incredibly unwieldy and impractical they were as garments - they started to become scarce around the 2002 mark, and have never really recovered, despite a 2015 attempt at a revival.
In a statement made on their website on February 15, the Los Angeles-based company wrote: “Thank you to all who have made JNCO special. We’ve truly enjoyed making clothing for such a devoted base of enthusiasts.”
But don't fret, any of you keen to re-live the sensation of being at a 1999 Spineshank show by getting your hands on a pair of jeans with a 50-inch hem, the company will be selling the rest of their inventory on a first-come first-serve basis on their site.

Oh, and did you know that JNCO stands for "Judge None Choose One"? We only learnt that today.
