When Jack Black pretty much does anything online, it tends to go
viral – and that rings true for his latest venture: a brilliant new music video
for his ballad from the newly-released Super Mario Bros. Movie.
Already clocking at over 6 million views on YouTube, the
Tenacious D frontman’s song Peaches – which was co-written by Jack, plus
the film’s directors Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, along with Eric Osmond and
John Spiker – hears Jack as his character Bowser reflecting on his absolute love
for Princess Peach (played by Anya Taylor-Joy). Even more amusingly, Peaches will actually be eligible for Best Original
Song at next year’s Oscars, as reported by Variety.
