After nine years away, the mighty Mayhem Festival roared back into life this weekend in San Bernardino, California, for a bruising all-dayer that showcased just what is happening in heavy music right now.

Headlined by the hottest band on the planet Bad Omens, the SoCal supershow boasted an incendiary line-up of metallic fury from across the United States, Europe and beyond with live favourites Parkway Drive bringing serious amounts of hellfire and brimstone to an already sweat-drenched crowd.
