“I’m freaking out!” Linkin Park’s new album From Zero hits Number One in the UK charts

Unsurprisingly, Linkin Park’s awesome, 4/5-rated new album From Zero has smashed the UK charts.

Following its release last Friday, the band’s eighth record outsold its closest competitors by more than 2:1 according to the Official Charts, and it marks their fourth Number One overall (the other three being 2003’s Meteora, 2007’s Minutes To Midnight and 2012’s Living Things).

“Number One in the UK, that’s so insane,” says new vocalist Emily Armstrong. “Thank you so much. Is there anything above Number One? This is it!

“From Zero to Number One! Thank you so fucking much, this is so surreal. It’s my first Number One, so I’m freaking out! I’ll say it a thousand times, and it feels like it’s not enough to say ‘thank you’, I can only say so many times how grateful I am.”

“This is very cool,” adds Mike Shinoda. “It’s such a big deal to all of us!”
