Watch IDLES' new animated video for Ultra Mono track Kill Them With Kindness.
Following the release of their brilliant 4K-rated album Ultra Mono, IDLES have shared a new animated video for one of the LP's standout songs, Kill Them With Kindness.
The ace clip comes from the brains of director/designer James Carbutt and animator Pip Williamson, with James sharing: "The dingy pub setting in the film is based on the Working Men’s Clubs of my hometown, Barnsley. It was nice to imagine IDLES bursting in and spreading a message of love. During our research we discovered that no two Wetherspoons carpets are the same, they are all unique like snowflakes, so yeah making this film was a wild ride."

Speaking to Kerrang! about Kill Them With Kindness and working with Jamie Cullum (who plays piano on the song), frontman Joe Talbot explained: "I was a kitchen porter for two years and we only listened to Radio 2, which he has a show on. I [went] over as a fan, not of his music but his show and the way he presents himself in the public eye. The inclusion of Jamie personifies what we’re about, which is the idea that kudos is cancer. Kudos, to me, is Stockholm syndrome; the route of all success is working hard for what you love, and he does that. I want to be surrounded by Jamie Cullums, not the naysayers."
