Travis Barker reveals he’s recorded two albums in the past two months
blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has been very busy in the studio since the band got back from tour…
Tom DeLonge’s sci-fi film Monsters Of California is hitting select U.S. cinemas this Friday, and it’ll also be available on-demand!
It’s a good week to be a blink-182 fan. Not only are the band set to drop new single DANCE WITH ME on Thursday, but Tom DeLonge’s sci-fi movie will be hitting select cinemas the following day.
The blink frontman has confirmed that his directorial debut, entitled Monsters Of California, will be available to watch both on the big screen and on-demand come October 6. Not only was it directed and co-written by Tom, it also features an original soundtrack produced by the musician and composed by his Angels & Airwaves bandmate Ilan Rubin.
“The film takes my fascination with the unexplained, combines it with the skate culture I grew up a part of, and tosses in my ridiculous sense of humour that millions got to witness during my blink-182 days,” Tom told Gizmodo last month.
“In recent years, I’ve had the good fortune of helping the government remember how much they care about UFOs through the work we do at To The Stars, and it’s that experience which helped inspire this movie. I can’t wait for audiences to see the fucked-up fun adventure these kids go on.”
A synopsis for Monsters Of California reads: “After discovering research left behind by a missing government agent, Dallas Edwards and his misfit high school friends embark on a righteous and dangerous adventure to uncover a paranormal conspiracy in Southern California that brings them face-to-face with some of the government’s most guarded mysteries.”
