Following last week’s Los Angeles livestream performance, Linkin Park have now officially kicked off their short (but massive) From Zero World Tour.
The band hit the city’s epic Kia Forum yesterday – Wednesday, September 11 – to bring their new line-up to 17,500 fans, made up of mostly their LPU members.
And despite lead guitarist Brad Delson stepping back from performing with the band now, according to @LPLive he has still helped “to write the setlists, show concept, and oversee the show”, and they all absolutely delivered with a mega 27-song setlist.
Both Hybrid Theory and Meteora each got five songs played last night, while Minutes To Midnight got four, Living Things got three and A Thousand Suns got two.
Elsewhere, Linkin Park threw out plenty of surprises: from the live debuts of Friendly Fire and Keys To The Kingdom, to newbie The Emptiness Machine, to My December live for the first time since 2008, and a piano duet of Lost between Mike Shinoda and Emily Armstrong (which is taken from last year’s 20th anniversary edition of Meteora).
