Following her single Weight Of The World featuring Dave Stephens earlier in the year, 12-year-old Harper is back with another release.

This time the young screamer has unveiled a cover of Bring Me The Horizon’s 2008 classic Chelsea Smile, taken from the band’s Suicide Season album. And it’s a fiercely faithful rendition, with Harper relentlessly keeping pace with Oli Sykes’ heavy vocals.

Over on Instagram, Harper says of her cover: “I first discovered Bring Me The Horizon whilst choosing songs for AGT and when I heard Chelsea Smile I instantly loved the song! I had so much fun recreating this song, thanks to everyone that helped bring it to life!”

Speaking to Kerrang! following her breakthrough aged 10, Harper reflected of how she came to learn that she had such a powerful voice. After watching Spiritbox’s video for Holy Roller, she “was like, ‘I have to try this!’ And then a demon came out! I don’t know how I did it.”

In BMTH-related news, the band pushed back the release of their new album POST HUMAN: NeX Gen, with “unforeseen circumstances” leaving them “unable to complete the record to the standard we’d be happy with”.

A statement from Oli explained that “unforeseen circumstances rendered us unable to complete the record to the standard we’d be happy with. I was hoping despite the setbacks we could pull it off in time for you guys but there’s still so many little details I want to be perfect and until it’s nailed I’m just not willing to give to you guys. We can’t give it a new date just yet but just know it’s close…”
