Green Day side-project The Coverups announce 2025 London show
Surprise! Billie Joe Armstrong will be back in London next month for another special show with his side-project The Coverups.
Five more acts have been announced for Rock In Rio – including Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Avril Lavigne, who will all “come to Brazil” next year!
Green Day and Fall Out Boy already have a huge 2022 planned with their Hella Mega Tour finally hitting the UK and Europe – and now they've announced plans for later in the year, too.
The bands are just two of the confirmed acts in the latest Rock In Rio announcement, with Avril Lavigne (and her Green Day-inspired new record) also hitting Brazil in September, plus Billy Idol and Capital Inicial.
Both FOB and Avril announced the news by referencing the internet's favourite “come to Brazil” meme, with the former writing: "The time has come… to come to Brazil," and Avril tweeting: "You asked for it. You got it. #AvrilComesToBrazil."
They join a huge line-up that also features the likes of Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Post Malone and Måneskin, who are all set to take on the World Stage (Green Day and Fall Out Boy will also play the World Stage, while Avril will be on the Sunset Stage).
