Green Day Announce Partnership With The NHL, Will Debut A New Song Next Week

Everyone's been excited to hear as much as they can of Green Day's upcoming new album, Father Of All Motherfuckers. Now, fans will get a chance to hear a new single, as the band has announced a partnership with the NHL that involves premiering a song from the album at Wednesday Night Hockey next week.

Green Day's new track, titled Fire, Ready, Aim, will debut on Wednesday, October 9, at a game between the New Jersey Devils and the Philadelphia Flyers. The NHL will be using the track as a theme song for the league throughout the season.

The game can be watched on NBC at 7:30 PM EST. Not only that, but Green Day will also perform live at the NHL All-Star Game in St. Louis, Missouri, on Saturday, January 25, at 8pm EST

According to NHL Chief Content Officer and Executive Vice President Steve Mayer, “Green Day is the perfect band for the NHL. Their music fits so perfectly with the energy, speed and power that we witness on the ice and each and every night. We are so excited to start this partnership with the NBC Sports open. It was so much fun to shoot and we think our fans will love it.”
