My Chem have sold out their 2025 Black Parade stadium tour, with 365,000 tickets snapped up
My Chemical Romance’s epic stadium run next year – which will take the band across North America for 11 huge dates – has sold out within hours…
Guitarist Frank Iero says it's been "such a weird experience" to have so many "well-made plans" for My Chem's reunion – only for everything to be put on pause due to coronavirus.
Though their huge plans for a 2020 reunion run sadly didn't happen, guitarist Frank Iero has enthused that he "can't wait" to get back onstage with his My Chemical Romance bandmates when the time eventually comes.
The New Jersey emo heroes are currently still scheduled to hit the road from June onwards for their rescheduled comeback dates, and the six-stringer admits that it's been "such a weird experience" to have made so many advance plans and still be waiting around for them to happen.
In a 45-minute interview with At The Drive-In's Jim Ward, Frank says of My Chem's return: "I can’t wait, man. I really can’t. It’s such a weird experience to be like, 'Hey, alright, all of this stuff that we’ve been working towards and these well-made plans,’ and all of a sudden it’s like, 'Ah, hurry up and wait.’ But it happens…
"The plan is to make it seem like you didn’t put any work in, you didn’t prepare for anything like fucking James Dean," he jokes. "You just want to be cool without even trying."

On the one-year anniversary of My Chemical Romance's triumphant return at The Shrine in Los Angeles in December 2019, Frank posted, "Throughout 2020 I have been incredibly fortunate to be able to play a few live streams and collaborate remotely with some ridiculously talented individuals… but as much fun as that has been, I really can’t wait for it to be safe enough to be able to play real shows again.
"Take care of one another. wear a mask, stay safe, and keep the faith."
Bassist Mikey Way also wrote on Instagram: "Thinking back to a magical night three hundred and sixty five days ago. Dreaming of the moment when we can do it all again. Until then – Stay safe out there."
MCR are scheduled to kick off their comeback run in England on June 15 at the Eden Project, though Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced yesterday that "large" live events could begin taking place again from June 21 according to the government's four-step roadmap out of lockdown. Stay tuned for more news on that when we have it.
