Foo Fighters have shared a poignant and powerful new single, Under You.

Seemingly addressing the devastating loss of Taylor Hawkins, the track heartbreakingly hears Dave Grohl reflecting, ‘Someone said I’ll never see your face again / Part of me just can’t believe it’s true / Pictures of us sharing songs and cigarettes / This is how I’ll always picture you.’

Under You is taken from Foos’ upcoming 11th album But Here We Are, which is due out on June 2 via Roswell Records/Columbia Records. It has been described as “a brutally honest and emotionally raw response to everything Foo Fighters have endured recently”, and “a testament to the healing powers of music, friendship and family”.

Ahead of the release of But Here We Are, the band have announced a free global streaming event on May 21 (8pm BST / 3pm EST / 12pm PST) which will feature ‘performances, behind the scenes and more’ captured at their 606 Studios.

“Shows like this don’t happen every day,” says CEO and Founder of Veeps Joel Madden (yes, that Joel Madden). “To take this moment to gather fans worldwide, to give people an opportunity to share in the experience no matter where they are, is a gift. Having a place to make these moments accessible is why we built Veeps and we’re honoured to be trusted with delivering this incredible show for Foo Fighters and all of their fans.”
