The Prodigy and RAYE are headlining Boardmasters 2025
The first wave of bands for next year’s Boardmasters has been revealed, and The Prodigy are one of the headliners!
"Let's make sure the fire continues"
After the tragic death of Keith Flint, The Prodigy fans are now campaigning to get the band's biggest hit, Firestarter, back to Number One in the UK charts.
The hope of the two people who set up the Facebook campaign is to raise awareness of mental health and suicide.
"Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 45 and that needs to change!!" they wrote on the Facebook page.
"This is the best way to raise Keith's profile and bring his plight to the forefront of pop culture and mainstream.
"If you don't want to spend any money then place the song on repeat in a streaming platform such as Spotify or Deezer then mute it and leave it on. This will also count towards the charts."
They poignantly added: "Rest in peace to the fire starter. Let's make sure the fire continues."
Firestarter was originally released on March 18, 1996 as a single on third Prodigy album, The Fat Of The Land. And, not surprisingly - since it's an out and out classic - it became the group's first Number One single in the UK Singles Chart (staying there for three whole weeks).
The stream is below. You know what to do...
