The big review: Damnation Festival 2024
What happened when Nails, Gatecreeper, Cradle Of Filth and a ton more brought the noise to Manchester for the biggest Damnation Festival yet.
The song Teeth is from In The Whale's 2018 EP, Dopamine.
Denver, Colorado’s ridiculously fun garage-rock duo In The Whale just left on a giant national tour, and to celebrate, they have released a video for their extremely catchy single, Teeth, from their 2018 EP Dopamine. All live footage in the video was filmed by In The Whale fans from various tours across the country and gathered by the two members, vocalist/guitarist Nate Valdez and drummer Eric Riley, and you can watch the whole thing exclusively on Kerrang! right here:
"The song Teeth is about conscious hypocrisy, as in saying you'll do something while being fully aware that you'll do the opposite,” says Nate. “We believe this is a very relevant topic in 2019. We recorded the song at the Foo Fighters' Studio 606 with Steve Evetts behind the board, producing, and we did our best to make the music as gritty and raw as we could, to fit the lyrical content."
"We got the idea for the music video while in Florida on our summer tour in 2018, when we had the chance to hang out and watch a skate session with pro skaters and Earth Skateboards endorsees Jeromy Green and Eli Reams,” he continues. “In the video, we wanted to convey of the kinship between punk musicians and skaters, as well as show the similarities between the energies of both worlds."
